This little gal was only about 4 lbs when she arrived into the world so we waited about a month to do her session because mom wanted her to be closer to 5lbs. She was sooo tiny and sweet.

Boy O BOY!!! {St. Louis Children's Photographer}

Wow, the past several weeks have been super busy and as I reflect on them I realized that I have had a WAVE of little BOYS!!!

These little guys could not be sweeter and I absolutely ADORE all of them.

A few of these little guys are part of my "Baby Plan" and I must say that I Loooove watching them grow and capturing these sweet moments.

I know that each and every one of these little guys are worthy of their own blog post however, I am not a great blogger sooooo.... I am combining this post.

Honestly, could they be cuter?!?! I am sooo fortunate to have SO many amazing families to work with and I love every minute of it.

Workshop fun! {St. Louis Photographer}

I recently had the opportunity of attending a workshop that an awesome fellow photographer put together.

It was inspiring to hear what Kelly Manno had to say about how she started out in photography and has continued to grow her business and thrive in our economy today.

She had a gorgeous couple for us to photograph and she shared so many great tips that really make sense and save time for us busy photogs.

Completely Adorable ....X2! {St. Louis Child Photographer}

These little guys are the cutest ever!

I have had the absolute pleasure of working with them since they were 7 days old and this was their 7 month session.

Twins and their parents just amaze me, they are so in sync with each other. I love photographing them however, 7 month old twins keep you on your toes!

We were scheduled to do our session inside and it turned out to be such a nice day that mom and I decided to take it outside and I am sooo excited that we did.

It was so much fun!

A little princess! {St. Louis newborn photographer}

This little princess was an absolute sweetie!
However....she thought that she was going to stay awake for her photo shoot. Mommy and I had to convince her that SLEEP is good! I was thrilled when mom brought out this newborn tutu and cute flower headband, we just had to use them. I always have a few tutus on hand for my toddler girl clients and they think that they're oh so much fun.

After this session, I had to purchase a couple of these tiny tutus. Soooo if you are expecting a "little princess" and wondering where to get one of these.... don't fret, let me know that you love this style and I'll bring a tiny tutu along for your "little princess" session.

On Good Friday, my family received the call that my nephew that had Muscular Dystrophy had passed away in his sleep, he was 23. We have traveled to Kansas and back,we are sooo sad and we're coping with his loss.

If you have called, e-mailed, texted, sent an
air balloon (he-he) to me to let me know that your newborn has arrived, please be patient... I will call you back and we will complete your session! If you do not hear from me, send me a friendly reminder as I am trying to get everyone squared away. Thanks for being so awesome!

A sweet FRESH face!

This little 9 month old was so fun and excited to laugh and giggle for his mommy and I. Believe it or not his mommy said earlier that morning he was not feeling his best however he was an absolute star when it was time to shine! We were able to get some great shots and I love some of the close-ups (if I do say so myself;). Take a look.

Sleepy Teddy Bear!

This little guy was such a sleepy little Teddy Bear at 8 days old. I absolutely love to capture those baby wrinkles and sweet pouty lips. As you can see this little guy still had the newborn "curl" that is soon forgotten.

I was so excited to have a perfect little model for one of my new hats, he was the most perfect teddy bear!

Thanks little J, I can't wait to watch you grow up. Soooo Sweet!

Another Beautiful Mommy...to be!

I have had SO many wonderful maternity sessions lately and I just had to share this one, she is such a beautiful mommy to be.

For those of you wondering about the fabulous "Demask" background, this is one of my new favorites and an absolute hit for maternity sessions.

I personally LOVE doing maternity sessions because I have a chance to get to know the couple before the newborn session.

It also gives me a little bit of an idea of where I will be setting up (since I am on location) and allows me to be more efficient for the newborn session when we might have a small window of time to work with because of a baby's schedule.

Babies in Bloom!

Spring is just around the corner and it seems that babies are in BLOOM!

The Cover!!!

I found out recently that one of MY images was selected for the next cover of "The Expectant Mother's guide to St. Louis" Yippeeeeee!!! I am super excited about it.

The guide is a resource for new moms in St. Louis and surrounding areas.
It's only published twice per year and 15,000+ copies go out to the hospitals and O.B. offices in St. Louis county and parts of St. Charles county and Jefferson county.

I couldn't be more excited about this because I love documenting "life" from the beginning.

My baby plan has been a HUGE hit this past year and has quickly become my "niche".

A big "THANKS" goes out to the beautiful mommy that gave me the OK to have her image published on the cover. I couldn't have done it without you!!

The sleepy cowboy!

Just sharing a few recent favorites....

This little fella was sooo sleepy and calm, it was amazing.

I must say that I love photographing newborns but they can be very unpredictable and I usually allow a little extra time so that there is time for snuggling and taking care of their needs.

This little guy was so tired that his mommy and daddy and I were able to mold him,shape him and place him to get the shots that we wanted. I loved it!!!

Little Miss BB!!

I am going to try to be better about posting on my blog because I have soooo many great sessions to share!

This little gal was a treat to photograph and kept her mommy and I on our toes (and there's nothing wrong with that!)

I enjoyed meeting you guys and look forward to watching little miss B grow!

These little guys were absolutely perfect to photograph! It's always a bit more challenging when you have more than one newborn to work with but we managed to get some great shots of these adorable little fellas!

I know that their parents are going to cherish these for years to come. After all you can't hold your baby in the palm of your hand for very long, it's amazing how fast they change. If their mommy is peeking, your proofs are almost done!! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to photograph your new little angels, you guys were great to work with.

A Sweet Family

The Little Diva turns 1!

Sweet little girls!

This slideshow feature is something that I am playing with and possibly offering with certain packages soon. I chose a recent session to try it out. These little girls were soooo sweet.

I recently finished proofing this session and realized that in several of these pictures that little Miss C had her toes perfectly pointed! I love it when I see something in a picture that I didn't see as I was taking it. It just confirms the fact that there are so many moments that we miss or are quickly forgotten. Take a look!

SERIOUSLY...cute kids!

These shots are from a "Portrait Playdate" session last week. Each and every one of these kiddos were absolutely adorable! The mommies of these cuties meet for playgroup every week and decided to have me over for some mini photo sessions. I'm so glad that they did, we ended up with some GREAT shots (and we happened to have a little fun doing it!)

Take time to smell the flowers!

Summer is passing way too quickly, don't forget to stop and smell the flowers (literally)!

This was a fun little session from last week. These little girls were so adorable! Their mommy told me that she was nervous about how the session would go, she was not sure if they would cooperate. To prepare them for the session, she told them that we were going to "take a walk and smell the pretty flowers" I think that we did a pretty good job of that!

A little butterfly even stopped by to say hello!

Pure Sweetness!

Honestly, does it get any sweeter than this?!?!

This little guy was an absolute dream to photograph; however.....he made his mommy and I work for it!

His big brothers were great helpers but they were slightly disgusted that he did his business while his diaper was off! They recovered and it was all worth it because after that, he was SOOO content!

This week I had the opportunity to meet 2 of the sweetest little girls and they were so much fun to photograph. We had the greatest light to work with and they were the most perfect little models... This is a sneak peek for their mom;)

Oh Baby!

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to participate in an "Oh Baby" event at the West County Mall in St. Louis. I photographed a lot of really BEAUTIFUL children and babies. Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to All of the moms out there!

This morning, I woke up to "psst...psst...mom, wake up" I opened my eyes to see my 7 year old with this......

How could I not possibly smile?!?! He said "I made this just for you, Happy Mother's Day!"

Of course, then I wanted to cry!

It's amazing how fast they grow up and the moments that we cherish when they are newborns and toddlers somehow fade with the blink of an eye; one day, they are saying and doing things that you could never imagine.

To a mom, moments like this are priceless! ( Even though he spilled milk & cheerios in my bed and on the stairway getting into the bedroom:) Still priceless!

(And for the record.....I do not usually use THAT much butter on my bagel;)

I can't wait to see what the rest of the day brings because my daughter that's 5 was very dissapointed that she didn't get to share in "mom's breakfast in bed" experience. I'm sure that she'll come up with her own special idea! I can't wait!

I love it when....

I absolutely love it when we can capture moments of our kids being, well...kids! We all know that the moments that we share with them are full of ups and downs so why would the day be any different just because they're getting their picture taken? When mommy saw the picture in the middle, she said "Oh,that's so Jack"

My clients are figuring out that, that's my style...
Of course, I love the beaming smiles but I'll take a frowny face too as long as it genuine. Until next time~T

Now booking for May!

Wow! Time flies when your having fun and I'm now booking for May!!

I've had an interest from many about "Portrait Parties". It's funny, when people first hear about them (portrait parties) they're not sure what they are and what to expect. They're really very similar to any home party.

The hostess.... invites her friends, provides snacks and in the end she earns print credits.

The product....beautiful portraits of your kiddos or family and it's all done in a very relaxed manner.

The best part....NO session fee.

So... if you're thinking that you would like to host one in May please contact me asap.

And as always, I will always leave room in my calendar for those "new arrivals" I really love working with "new ones" and like to capture the innocence of the first few days of life.

This is little miss "B" and she was just over a week old. Her mommy told me that she really wanted to get some shots of her with her eyes open and little miss"B" did not dissapoint!

A fantastic portrait party!!

OK, where do I begin??? I normally do not post about sessions the very same day BUT I had a fabulous hostess today and I was soooo excited to peek at the pictures as soon as I could.

I recently just started doing "Portrait parties" and I am loving it. The hostess is a very big part of the planning and I have been so fortunate to have really great hostesses that rally their friends, open their homes and keep me on track during the party, a huge THANKS!.

Anywhoo....I felt that today's party was a success overall and there were 3 little girls that were getting ready for first Communion which was a new experience for me and I love the way all of these turned out.

Fabulous Babies & Kids Expo!

This weekend I had the opportunity to have a booth at the "Fabulous Babies & Kids" expo. I had a fantastic time and met SO many nice people!

I photographed 70+ babies and kiddos and I loved every minute of it! Here are just a few of my favorites....there are soooo many to choose from.

I also wanted to add that my booth was next to Shawn Hornbecks parents. Read their story http://www.shawnhornbeck.com/ it gives a parent chills! They worked ALL day long making identification cards for children, they are amazing and strong!! Thank you both for helping our children stay safe!

Little Diva

This little gal is very special to me, she's my niece! She, her mommy and big brother came for a quick visit and her very own photo shoot. She is absolutely adorable and she just brings a smile to everyones face. We ended up with SO many great pictures that it will be hard for mom and dad to decide which ones will go on the wall.

This is HILAROUS!

Okay...to all of the mom's,dad's,grandma's,grandpa's, aunt's and uncles that think that we must shower our little angels with expensive gifts (we all do it)....please watch this.

This is SO True and these are the moments that we all love so much. To hear that little laugh that comes from their belly, priceless!

"Trendy Kids" photo contest!!

Complete Details!!


I am having my first ever "Trendy Kids" photo contest and I hope to have a great turnout!!

What do I need?

I am asking for a snapshot of your trendy child or tot and that's it!

Then what?

After all of the entries have been recieved by the March 10th deadline. I will submit them to a panel of judges which will be made up of photographer friends/colleauges and they will choose my "Top 10" trendy kids. The "Top 10" will then be put right here on the Blog and then it's up to the public to choose. So.... that means that you'll have to call on your friends, family, neighbors, grocery clerk, everyone that you know to vote!! You get the idea.

Who can enter?

The contest is open to children between the ages of 6 months and 10 years old and since I will not be judging the contest, it's also open to current clients. All participants must be local and live within 30 miles of O'Fallon, Mo. or be willing to travel to complete their session if they win.

What will they win??

There will be 3 winners and they will all receive complete sessions. Photo packages will be awarded for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place. Packges are still in the works and will be revealed soon!

So you're thinking "What's the catch?"

No catch really. All that I ask is that I can have most of the creative control over the session, which means that I will choose the location, composition and make suggestions for clothing and hairstyle. Model release forms will be required so that I may use the photos from these sessions in my portfolio.

With Valentines Day approaching, I wanted to get a couple of pictures of MY sweeties! I'm always puzzled at the fact that I can capture beautiful images of children and famillies that I am so delighted to work with BUT....when it comes to my own, ugh!! It takes some serious bribing! I was happy coming away with these sweet images of my kiddos, and now we're off to Target to buy a transformer and a baby. Bribes work:)

Sharing a few recent favorites

This little girl is one of my favorite kids to photograph!! She is obviously just beautiful and she loves the camera! I always love to see what we come up with, it's usually different and she lets me get silly! I just plopped this hat on her head and this is what we ended up with. These are just the first few, I'm sure there will be alot more. Mom and dad you are going to be in big trouble when she's a teenager (she's only 5 now). She's beautiful!

3 Beautiful babies from last week!

I love photographing babies, so 3 babies... not a big deal. But photographing 3 babies that are in the same family.... a HUGE deal!! I am always amazed at the parents of multiples, they are truly incredible!! This is my fourth set of triplets that I have had the opportunity to photograph and I love it! This is always hard because I want to make sure that I get a great picture of each baby (or child). I always find it so compelling that these babies (and kids) are so much alike yet so different and have completely different personalities which is what I try to reflect in their pictures. Whew!!

Please forgive me for not posting more often. Thanks to all of you, I have been very BUSY and that's a great thing!!

This year has been wonderful!!!

I have met & photographed so many great families, newborns, kiddos, highschool seniors (and lets not forget my faithful triplets) and I must say I'm loving every minute of it. Thanks again to everyone that supports me and allows me to be creative. One particular session that comes to mind.....the mommy said at the end of the session "Well, we'll see if there are any good ones there". I absolutely "LOVE IT" when she views her proofs and says "WOW when did you get THAT??" It's not magic, very simple really. I want my sessions to be fun, relaxed, unposed and NO saying "CHEESE":) Here are just a few (OK, more than a few) of my favorites from the last few months...

Bad blogger!!

Well...the fact of the matter is.... I really want to have a blog, I have a lot to say and share but....I'm really a bad blogger!! Never the less, I'll work on improving this aspect of my life!

I've had so many fun sessions lately and attended an awesome workshop in Chicago and came back INSPIRED!! (I'll post those pics later) But for now I'm just going to post a few of my recent favorites.

OK, so this has to be one of the sweetest families that I know!!

They are so in sync with each other and the love that they have for this little girl is AMAZING!! Need I say more....

I LOVED working with little "J"!! She absolutely loves the camera and is just so easy to work with.

SHE had lots of suggestions (which cracked her mom and I up) and we went along with them. We came out with some beautiful shots, thanks J!!.

I enjoyed her so much because often times I am chasing kids that are saying "NO"! Don't get me wrong, I love the challenge of that too!!

She went from the golf course to this......in just a matter of minutes.

Behind on posting!!!

SO...my blog has been a little neglected lately.
I have been BUSY with summer sessions and loving it. I've worked with some of the greatest, not to mention most BEAUTIFUL kids lately.

I feel like I've had some great "playdates" and found new locations for fabulous pictures along the way.

I've also been busy giving my website a fresh new look, I hope that you like it!!

It's not too early... to think about booking your fall session. I will soon open my fall calendar, the weekend appointments go quickly so please book early.

The Miracle of life... x 3!!

I have had the great fortune of working with triplets TWICE recently. Both times I've been amazed to see 3 babies. It's amazing to see how great their parents juggle (for lack of a better word) and interact with each one. Truly a miracle!! These little guys were so sweet and cuddly and an absolute pleasure to photograph... Here's a sneak peek!

3 reasons to SMILE!!

I recently had the opportunity to photograph 3, yes 3, little angels!! These little girls are SO beautiful and sweet. They were one day short of two months old when I was there and their due date was still approaching. Needless to say, these little gals arrived E-A-R-L-Y!!! Take a peek

This is absolutely the sweetest couple that I know. They are so in love and their love for baby K is amazing!! I have had a chance to get to know them because I did their "Birth Story" for them.

My first blog!

I have had a rather productive winter, I think. I have learned how to do things (like build a web site, from scratch) that I never thought I would know how to do.

I have always loved taking pictures and now, I am turning a hobby into a business that I am VERY passionate about. I hope that you will visit my site to see what I am currently working on, and also what I have in the works. I intend to upate the blog often.

My most recent session...

I had the pleasure of working with this little gal and she was awesome!! Her hair looked soooo red from the sunlight and I love how the pics turned out. She was getting ready to turn 4 and having a Petalwink party. It was her mom's idea to have her reading the Petalwink book. We had the photo session at the "Tree House" located at "A Pocketful of Toys" and we were lucky to have about 30 minutes of really good sunlight. Take a look!
